Today we finally made it to the theater to enjoy Beauty and the Beast! If you haven’t been to the Cinemark at Artegon place in Orlando and live nearby, go. I sat down filled with anticipation and a slight fear that they would ruin a classic. I kicked up my feet and my son climbed in my lap and the adventure began. I plan to tell you more about this amazing movie but most importantly, I was you to know the 5 truths Beauty and the Beast will teach your kids. I don’t think they will be what you expect.
We are so excited about Beauty and the Beast coming out. I decided this week it would be fun to work on a fine motor skills craft in honor of the release of the new live-action movie. This craft is both simple and fun for little hands to work on their fine motor skills. Even better, it won’t cost you more than a couple dollars. Go grab your supplies and prepare for some fine motor fun.

Born in China – April 21st, 2017
I actually hadn’t heard of this one before now so I went and read some of the great information about it and checked out the trailer. This movie looks so beautiful and I am sure homeschool families everywhere will come to love it. Find out more below and then watch the trailer.
Narrated by John Krasinski (“13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi,” NBC’s “The Office,” “Amazon’s “Jack Ryan”), Disneynature’s new True Life Adventure film “Born In China” takes an epic journey into the wilds of China where few people have ever ventured. Following the stories of three animal families, the film transports audiences to some of the most extreme environments on Earth to witness some of the most intimate moments ever captured in a nature film. A doting panda bear mother guides her growing baby as she begins to explore and seek independence. A two-year-old golden monkey who feels displaced by his new baby sister joins up with a group of free-spirited outcasts. And a mother snow leopard—an elusive animal rarely caught on camera—faces the very real drama of raising her two cubs in one of the harshest and most unforgiving environments on the planet. Featuring stunning, never-before-seen imagery, the film navigates China’s vast terrain—from the frigid mountains to the heart of the bamboo forest—on the wings of red-crowned cranes, seamlessly tying the extraordinary tales together. Opening in U.S. theaters on Earth Day 2017, “Born in China” is directed by accomplished Chinese filmmaker Lu Chuan, and produced by Disney’s Roy Conli and renowned nature filmmakers Brian Leith and Phil Chapman.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 – May 5th, 2017
Someone say Baby Groot! I’m sure there are more great reasons why this movie is going to be epic (soundtrack anyone?) but I am seriously itching to see Baby Groot! The scene with the button reminds me of every conversation I have ever had with my children when they were smaller. I seriously can not wait to resume the adventure with the Guardians!
Pirate of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – May 26th, 2017
This movie has been on my bucket list since I heard it was being made! I seriously can’t wait to see Johnny Depp return in his iconic role!
Cars 3 – June 16th, 2017
Ok, I have to be honest. The teaser trailer for this movie was a bit traumatizing. I have a few friends who are afraid to show any of the future trailers to their kids because of the tears that came from the first one. That said, I am willing to give Disney a chance. I am just waiting for another trailer to hit in order to see how I feel about it.
New Extended Look
Thor Ragnarok – November 3rd, 2017
I didn’t know much about this new movie so I had to read up on it. This new plot line looks AWESOME!
In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk!
Coco – November 22nd, 2017
I haven’t decided how I feel about this one yet. Visually it looks amazing. I am just waiting to see more of the plot line.
Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
Star Wars: Episode VIII – December 15th, 2017
I’ll give you one guess what my husband will want for Christmas this year! As a family we seriously can not wait for this movie! As soon as I get any additional information I will make sure you have it! For now, go back out and see Rogue One one more time.
