When my friend over at The Unemployed Mom contacted me about covering Disney on Ice Princesses & Heroes for her I was so excited! I happen to have an amazing Princess and a sweet little Hero living right here at my house! Without a second thought, I agreed to go and enjoy this event for her. I was not disappointed in the slightest! From the moment we walked through the door to the final note the experience was incredible! I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who wants to treat their Princess or Hero to a night out!
Check it out!
First we had the great opportunity to do a Meet & Greet with Belle herself! I can’t lie, she is my personal favorite!
Before meeting the princess though, my little lady picked out a beautiful tiara, a sweet lollipop, and a sword to battle off the bad guys! My little man donned a pair of Mickey ears, grabbed his sword, and held onto his lollipop for a night of fun.
While we waited for royalty we decided it would be wise to grab a family picture!
Do you think C is ready to take on the world? I am pretty sure he is! I don’t know if you can tell by my smile but it would appear that I am just as excited as they are.
My little Hero decided that he was a bit shy around the beautiful princess so he sent his sister to meet Belle. She was so excited! She loved seeing Belle and visiting with her.
From the Meet and Greet we headed to our seats to enjoy the show!
The costuming on this show was amazing! Check out this camel! Both of my children giggled uncontrollably at the idea of a camel on ice. It didn’t take long for them to move past the laughter though because Aladdin showed up!
I won’t ruin the story for you but I will say this, who is Aladdin without Princess Jasmine?
After our Magic Carpet ride we had a treat my husband says is rare. I won’t tell you too much because I want you to enjoy them! All I will say is that this is my favorite 1/7th of the surprise.
It really made R and I smile to see Dopey dance and move in true character! He was a delight!
You will find your fair share of romance in this show but as C the now 4 year old says, “There’s still boys and they do hero stuff so it’s ok if the girls are there.”
R looked at me with a huge smile when Belle came out, “Mom, isn’t she your favorite princess?” This was quickly followed with a loud, “MOM! Look at Lumiere! He is so amazing!!” To which C replied, “and he looks just like the movie!”
Don’t let the romance fool you! There will be tons of high flying fun to be had! Some of the stunts will drop your jaw and others will leaving you wondering the same thing R was asking, “How’d they do that?!”
R questioned me countless times. She asked me many times during this scene, “Mom is that magic because there is no way that works with gravity?” I simply smiled and answered, “What do you think?” WIth a twinkle in her eye she turned back to the show answering me with nothing more than a smile.
After we overcame the horrid stepsister we all enjoy the Prince’s impressive moves! Trust me, you will see some incredible skating. During this scene the grown man behind me kept loudly saying, “Wow, son that is amazing! Do you see it? Do you? It’s just incredible!” If you wonder whether this show is good for adults, take it from him.
In case you wondered if you will get a chance to see our newest and most amazing princess the answer is a resounding YES! When Rapunzel glided onto the ice R’s jaw hit the floor! She was so overjoyed. I wish I could share a picture of that sweet face but she begged me to take “as many pictures as possible of Rapunzel!” This happens to be my favorite. The beauty and grace of these performers is simply amazing!
I was so happy to see our leading lady of Disney at the show! Might I add, Minnie you look glorious darling!
I will leave you wondering why Tinkerbell is in Cinderella’s carriage. All I can say is you better go out and see the show!
The magic, the smiles, the fun, and the laughter are what make this show so worth the time and money you will invest! Don’t miss this great opportunity for a fun time out with your kids. (I won’t tell if you want to go without the kids because the show looks so amazing!)
