My daughter just finished coming to me for help. She decided her bear needing more stuffing. However, she couldn’t figure out where she was having problems with her needle and thread. After a quick adjustment, she was able to sew her bear back up and feel a huge sense of accomplishment. It got me thinking. There are life skill kids should have so they can feel confident when they move out one day. I am going to share a few life skills I think kids should have and resources to help them learn them.
Netflix DVD did not pay me for this post. I do receive a membership from them to facilitate my posts but that does not influence my opinions.
Science can be so much fun. There are quite a few movies out there that feature Scientists whether they are mad Scientists or just great Scientists. I decided to put together a list of movies featuring Scientists for kids for us to add to our Netflix DVD queue. The goal is to show kids each of the movies and ask them what is true about Scientists and what is exaggerated. If you want to have fun with your movie time while showing kids what Scientists look like, don’t miss out. I will also include a few YouTube videos at the bottom of this post featuring actual Scientists for your kids to do a comparison.
Movies Featuring Scientists for Kids
This week we have been preparing for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party but outside it isn’t feeling like Fall yet. I decided that nothing says Fall in Florida like faking it with a pumpkin recipe. I was thinking about Pumpkin Pie but I felt like I needed something new and different. That is why I created this pumpkin pie cake crock pot recipe. It’s a combination of the deliciousness of pumpkin pie with the texture of a moist cake. I’m sure you will enjoy it. I know we did.
