We have been having a lot of fun learning about plants in Science this year. I was trying to think of something fun to teach the parts of the flower. That’s when I decided to do this DIY tissue paper flower with the kids. We had so much fun and laughed more than we should have. I give this parts of a flower lesson idea bonus points because they can easily name the parts of the flower because of it.
We are huge fans of Science experiments around here. We love to try many different things and see just what will happen. Even more, the kids want the why behind it. If you have a Science minded child there are certain Science experiment ingredients to have on hand. These will make it so that you can have fun with learning without worrying about a trip to the store.

This month we have been working a lot on learning about sound and how our ears process sound. I put together this fun sound unit study to go with R’s curriculum and she has been having so much fun with it. I have included some really great tips, resources, experiments, and ideas you won’t want to miss out on.
