With the school year coming I wanted to find a way to doing something special for both the kids. I wanted to find something special for them that they could both enjoy. I put together this book bucket project in hopes of adding a smile to the house. My goal is to give them somewhere they can go to decompress a bit each day.
Book Bucket Project
We have two uses for these that I envision. I have a required daily quiet time for the kids. Since R will be in school this year C will need to take quiet time on his one. The goal is to give him some time to read and relax a bit. For R, it will be a great option to decompress after a long day at school before starting homework.
You Will Need
Bucket – We picked these up at the dollar store.

Make your bucket
Start by finding a book quote you think best represents your child.
For ours, we went with the following.
“Books are uniquely portable magic.” – Steven King
“As soon as I saw you I knew an adventure was about to happen.” – Winnie the Pooh
Add your decals in any way you want.
For a little extra fun, hide a decal inside the bucket for them to find when they start to go through their bucket.
Fill your bucket with books and coloring supplies.
I will be surprising my oldest by changing this quote out or writing her sweet notes for when she gets home from school. You could easily add a sweet note or pick a quote each week that you think would speak to your child.
