If you have been reading for a while you know that I am a huge fan of Pattern Blocks. In fact I wrote a post with 11 Preschool Pattern Block Lessons. However, I am finding that pattern blocks also make a great educational distraction. You see, I have 2 children homeschooling this year. For all the super moms with more, I salute you! Having 2 has been a huge adjustment. I am working on more difficult things with R this year which means sometimes I need to focus on her completely. This was leaving C annoyed and bored.
This week I decided to pull out the dry erase boards we made and let C have a little educational fun. This is going to be a very simple project but if you are like me it will be an aha moment!
What to do:
- Lay out your dry erase board.
- Draw multiple shapes and the letter of the week if you are focusing on one.
- Draw a Large square or rectangle.
