With the New Year comes the desire to purge out some of the old and declutter your home. I know that we have simplified a lot and gotten rid of plenty of the things we thought we couldn’t live without. The fire was a big help in that process but it also taught me something. This has been reinforced as I have walked some hard stuff with some great friends. Don’t donate your junk!!
At 8:00 in the morning on October 6th my dryer caught fire in my home. Thankfully, we were home and were able to see the fire pretty quickly. However, we still ended up bringing in the fire department and having them put out the fire. It was a very difficult day and was more than a little overwhelming. I wanted to share with you the things you need to know the first 48 hours after a fire in case you ever find yourself the victim of a house fire.
The First 48 Hours After a Fire
Netflix DVD did not pay me for this post. I do receive a membership from them to facilitate my posts but that does not influence my opinions.
Science can be so much fun. There are quite a few movies out there that feature Scientists whether they are mad Scientists or just great Scientists. I decided to put together a list of movies featuring Scientists for kids for us to add to our Netflix DVD queue. The goal is to show kids each of the movies and ask them what is true about Scientists and what is exaggerated. If you want to have fun with your movie time while showing kids what Scientists look like, don’t miss out. I will also include a few YouTube videos at the bottom of this post featuring actual Scientists for your kids to do a comparison.
