Admittedly, I don’t consider myself to be a great father. Working long hours and short fuses and a wide variety of other shortcomings, there are a wide variety of areas where I drop the ball. That said, theme parks and other Central Florida activities often provide a much-needed break from the day to day monotony and often provide must needed opportunities to reconnect with my kids. Based on trial and error, here are some theme park tips for dads that I have learned along the way for enjoying the parks with your kids.
It can be so hard to get 8 year olds to pick up a book and read. That said, it isn’t impossible. In fact, I have found 10 books for 8 year olds that my son is crazy about. I am going to share them with you now. Here’s the thing. I’m going to let him explain why you should try out each one.

With the New Year comes the desire to purge out some of the old and declutter your home. I know that we have simplified a lot and gotten rid of plenty of the things we thought we couldn’t live without. The fire was a big help in that process but it also taught me something.
