Over the last few years, I have started choosing a word to describe the coming year. I found that setting resolutions never worked for me. I had a generic goal that I quickly gave up on. I took one year and broke out all the goals and outlining my game plan for every single one. That was exhausting and didn’t go to plan. However, word of the year has been a great way for me to set more general goals that I can then break into smaller pieces. Let me share my 2019 word of the year and share some tips for picking a word of the year.

Sometimes it as a small as learning to stay still when they want nothing more to fidget. However, there are also really heavy things kids have to see happen. They can see the death of a loved one or have to figure out why a family member is different than they used to be. In the last few years we have lost loved ones to addiction, suicide, and so much more. I have had to work on a big life skill with them. I have had to teach them to walk away.

We don’t get snow in Florida but we wanted a Snow slime for the fun of it. So I put together this white glitter slime recipe and we are loving it!
