We love living in Central Florida. One of the benefits is that we get to enjoy some of the amazing events that happen during the Holidays. As Sea World annual pass holders we visit the parks often and we decided to check out Sea World’s Halloween Spooktacular and I have 5 tips to help you enjoy the event more.
5 Sea World’s Halloween Spooktacular Tips
Don’t worry about bringing bags.
Sea World Orlando has some great bags available for you. These are higher quality bags that would be the equivalent of a gifting bag. They are at the beginning of the candy sections on both ends. Make sure to grab one and enjoy the candy stops.
Read the signs
All of the candy lines have a sign over them. These signs tell you what kind of candy is being handed out there. If you have a child with an allergy or an aversion to a certain treat this can save you time in a certain line. Also, the Chik Fil A line has cow tails! How awesome is that? The options at some candy spots will rotate so don’t assume that they will always stay the same. I highly recommend checking out all of the stops as there are some great candy options this year.
Don’t miss Penelope’s Garden Party
My little ones had an amazing time with this! They danced, played games, met an owl, learned about some of the different animals in the park, grabbed some more candy for their bags, and met a mermaid. This is a really fun area. I will warn you. If your child is anything like my son, it may be hard to get them to leave the party. This area is highly interactive and offers an atmosphere that mixes learning with fun naturally.
The Sesame Street Show has been rethemed for Halloween
Make sure to head over to the theater to cool off and enjoy a fun Halloween show with Elmo and friends as they help the Count find the Halloween spirit.
Don’t be afraid to play along!
The characters Sea World has out for this event are truly exceptional! If you are willing to play along and have fun with them you are sure to laugh more than your fair share! I know that we had to kick the hammer head shark out of the pic because when a sting ray and a boy in a rays shirt get together it’s meant to be that they take a pic together because they are family! We found ourselves laughing so hard at some of the clever remarks from the different characters.
Check your map. There may be a spot on there where you can get an ice cold chocolate milk while supplies last.
Bonus Bonus tip!
It doesn’t take much to pull off a costume that works with this event. It can get very hot in Florida. R went with a simple ariel hair piece I made her with a green skirt and a shimmery shirt and was constantly asked if she was a sea princess. C went in nothing more than a Rays shirt because he was a ball player and he was constantly asked what kind of sting ray he was and which part of the sea he lived in. Keep it simple and have fun.
You really will find a bubble filled wonderland with plenty of candy. Come for the theme park. Stay for the fun and an evening of Halloween and family fun. You won’t want to miss it.
